Officers responding to a call about shots fired in the area of Hazel and North Adams streets reported finding two men in a home in the 40 block of Ames Court with a bag of bullets in plain view in the living room. Reports said bullet holes and two slugs were found in a bedroom where a small child was sleeping. A gun was found in the living room and a plastic bag of crack cocaine in the kitchen, police said. A 23-year-old Sixth Street Southwest man was charged with breaking and entering Aug. 1. Officers responding to a report of a burglary in progress at 230 W. Center St. said they saw the man inside the barbed-wire fenced-in area of a business. Reports said the man had cuts on his hands. Blood was found on the building’s door and the front glass door was damaged.A Pilgrim Street man, 23, was charged Aug. 3 with receiving stolen property. The man is accused of trying to sell a stolen wedding ring set at Ohio Gold and Diamond Exchange. The rings were reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Jefferson Avenue.A Colonial Hills woman, 36, was charged Aug. 2 with felonious assault. The woman is accused of stabbing someone in the chest, causing minor injuries, during an argument.A Vesper Street man, 23, was charged with receiving stolen property and forgery. The man is accused of trying to cash a check at the CheckSmart on South Arlington Street. The check had been reported stolen in a burglary in the 1100 block of Marcy Street.A Tarson Terrace man, 20, was charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing police and obstructing official business. He is accused of leading officers on a high-speed chase in a vehicle that had been stolen. He was arrested in the backyard of a home on Snyder Street.Three men — a 19-year-old from Copley Road, an 18-year-old from 10th Street Northwest and an 18-year-old from Lovers Lane — were charged with robbery. They are accused of robbing a man on the All-America Bridge. The victim told police he fought three men who tried to rob him and managed to get back his possessions — a portable CD player and CDs. He said the robbers jumped over the railing and fled.
